Privacy Policy

Website, Inquiry, Payment, and Service Communications

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how HeavyHaul Connect LLC ("HHC," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information when you visit our website, contact us by email, submit a quote or service inquiry, request transportation coordination support, pay an invoice, or otherwise interact with us.

HHC provides transportation coordination and logistics consulting services within the United States. This Privacy Policy is intended for customers, prospective customers, website visitors, vendors, and business contacts.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect information that you provide directly, including name, company name, email address, billing details, shipment contact information, pickup and delivery information, cargo descriptions, dimensions, weight, photos, equipment specifications, ownership or purchase documents, site access details, invoice information, and communications with us.

We may collect payment-related information through third-party payment processors. HHC does not intentionally store full payment card numbers on its own systems when payments are processed by a third-party payment processor.

We may automatically collect limited website and device information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from technical data, and cookies or similar technologies used for website functionality, security, analytics, and performance.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to respond to inquiries, prepare quotes or estimates, evaluate shipment feasibility, provide transportation coordination and consulting support, communicate with customers and third-party providers, process invoices and payments, verify information, screen for prohibited or suspicious activity, comply with legal obligations, maintain business records, improve our website and services, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

We may use contact information to send service-related emails, document requests, updates, invoices, policy notices, and business communications. We do not use customer shipment information for unrelated advertising campaigns without an appropriate basis.

4. Payment Processing

HHC may use third-party payment processors, including Stripe, to process payments for HHC coordination, consulting, administrative, and related service fees. Payment processors may collect and process payment information according to their own terms and privacy policies. HHC does not control the privacy practices of third-party payment processors.

Payments processed through HHC's online payment tools are intended for HHC service fees and are not intended to operate as a marketplace, escrow service, or carrier payout service.

5. Sharing of Information

We may share information with third parties when reasonably necessary to provide services or operate our business. This may include independent carriers or transportation-related vendors, permit or escort providers, payment processors, website hosting providers, email providers, accounting or legal advisors, insurance representatives, compliance screening tools, and government authorities when required or appropriate.

We may share shipment information with potential transportation providers to evaluate availability, pricing, equipment suitability, route feasibility, and scheduling. We share only information reasonably relevant to the business purpose.

6. Compliance, Fraud Prevention, AML, and Sanctions Screening

We may use customer, business, payment, cargo, origin, destination, and shipment details to detect fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, prevent prohibited shipments, evaluate sanctions or restricted-party risk, respond to chargebacks, and comply with applicable laws and payment processor requirements.

We may decline service, request additional information, preserve records, or disclose information where we believe it is necessary to protect HHC, comply with law, enforce agreements, or prevent unlawful or suspicious activity.

7. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for basic functionality, security, performance, preferences, and analytics. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect website functionality.

If we use analytics tools, they may collect technical information about website usage to help us understand traffic and improve the site.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including service delivery, business records, accounting, tax, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and enforcement of agreements. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and the reason it was collected.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you should avoid sending highly sensitive information unless requested and appropriate for the service.

10. Your Choices

You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of certain personal information, subject to legal, business, accounting, compliance, and dispute-related retention requirements. You may opt out of non-essential marketing emails if any are sent, but we may still send service-related communications.

To make a privacy request, contact us at info@heavyhaulconnect.com. We may need to verify your identity or authority before responding.

11. Do Not Sell or Share Personal Information

HHC does not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of exchanging it for money. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless disclosed and permitted by applicable law.

12. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for business users and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website or communications may link to third-party websites, payment pages, carrier websites, mapping tools, document platforms, or other external services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of third-party services.

14. United States Operations

HHC is based in the United States and currently provides services for U.S.-based transportation coordination. If you access our website or communicate with us from outside the United States, you understand that information may be processed in the United States.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be effective when posted or provided, unless a later effective date is stated. Continued use of our website or services after an update means you acknowledge the updated policy.
